Bijapur Outreach Programme

From December 4th to 6th, 2023, members of the Student and Interaction Club at St. Joseph's Indian High School in Bengaluru embarked on a meaningful outreach program to Bijapur. The students participated in impactful activities aimed at fostering connections and spreading awareness. On December 4th, the students visited Loyal School in Bijapur, presenting an awareness skit during the warm welcome. They organized an inter-religious prayer service, followed by additional skits, a singing program, and interactive sessions, concluding with the distribution of prizes. Afterwards, they visited St. Joseph's Children Home of HIV, engaging in activities and sharing lunch. The afternoon at Navasanidha Girls Home of HIV involved fun activities, games, and singing. Fr. Felix conducted a comprehensive evaluation at the end of the day.<br>

On December 5th, the students explored Bijapur's rich heritage at Golgumba and traveled to Sindgi for friendly sports matches with Loyal CBSE students. An interaction session followed, ending the day with a campfire. Ms. Nirma conducted an evaluation and reflection session.<br>

On the 6th day, the students visited Shivagri and Ibrahim Roas, experiencing valuable insights. A window-shopping expedition in Bijapur was followed by a guided slum visit with Fr. Teyol, who provided insights into Jesuit work and slum life. The students visited CNF Central for Non-formal Education, followed by an interaction session with Navachetha Girls Hostel students. The day concluded with supper, a vote of thanks, and departure from Bijapur, leaving indelible memories behind.
