Republic Day

January 26, 2024

With freedom in mind, faith in words, pride in our hearts, and the memories of the martyrs in our souls, the staff and students of SJIPUC and SJIHS gathered in the quadrangle to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of our country and commemorate the day of the enactment of the Indian Constitution.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by the chief guest, Mr. Srinivasa Prasad, the faculty of SJIHS. While unfurling the flag, the national anthem was sung, followed by the floral tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, by the chief guest and the other dignitaries. The content of the message by the chief guest was thought-provoking and secular in nature, filling the hearts with patriotic fervor and awakening the spirit of nationalism in all gathered. A prayer song, a patriotic song and dance, and the honoring of the NCC students developed a sense of solidarity among the audience. Overall, the program was successful in bringing out the essence of Republic Day. The gathering was welcomed by Mrs. Reshma D'Souza, and the event was anchored by Mrs. Shilpa.
