The Philately Club organized an impressive Philately Exhibition featuring the remarkable collection of rare stamps and medals belonging to Mr. Vara Prasad. Stamp collecting extends beyond being a mere pastime; it involves the in-depth exploration of postage stamps, postcards, and postal materials. This hobby proves especially advantageous for students, as it enhances concentration and broadens knowledge in diverse fields such as geography, inventions, culture, and history.

The exhibition occurred at Picardo Hall on August 23 and was exclusively open to high school students. Mr. Vara Prasad, a distinguished recipient of numerous State, National, and international medals in Philately and Numismatics, generously shared his unparalleled collection. His accolades include the prestigious Vermeil (Gold) medal in New York, USA, Silver medals in Singapore, Thailand, and Luxembourg, Bronze medals in Poland, India, and South Korea, among others from various countries. Mr. Vara Prasad has also delivered guest lectures on Philately and Numismatics at various prominent platforms. This event was designed to inspire and nurture a valuable hobby among today's younger generation, who are often preoccupied with mobile devices.
