REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Our school celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day with great eclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The programme began at 8 am. The chief guest for the day was  Rev Fr Joseph Rodrigues Rector St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions. NCC cadets gave the guard of honour to the dignitaries. Sr Jayamary and Mrs Supreetha prayed for the country. The Management, Principal, Staff and students were welcomed by our teacher Mrs Janet Fernandez.

The Principal and vice principals presided to the ceremony. Our chief guest hoisted the National flag,  students saluted the National flag. The choir group sang the National Anthem. Mrs. Latha Jacob and Mrs Rashmi took up the duty of emceeing the programme. The chief guest addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indian.

The students brought the stage alive by decorating and expressed love of the motherland through their patriotic dance.

The school quadrangle reverberated with patriotic favor and enthusiasm. We had a prize distribution ceremony for NCC cadets. Finally vote of thanks was proposed by SPL Sam David. The celebration came to an end by 9 am.

The students dispersed after receiving sweets with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their mind and heart. May we continue celebrating this day forever.
