Amritmahotsav Independence Day 2022

This 15th of August, SJII celebrated 75 years of Independence. We
as Josephites paid respect to all the leaders who fought bravely for
our nation's freedom in the past.
St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions celebrated 75 th year of Independence day
with all pomp and gorgeousness in the school’s football ground.
Cmde. C.D. Balaji, alumnus of SJIHS presided over the function as the
chief guest.
The President.Fr. Rector Joesph D’souza presided over the function.
The chief of all the institutions graced the function on the Independence
day.
The program began at 8.20am with the guard of honour and flag hoist
followed by the national salute and national anthem.
The chief guest received the Marchpast salute. School and college
student Councils, NCC and Scouts performed splendid Marchpast and
they brought exquisiteness to the function.
The chief guest received the honour and addressed the gathering. He
said, this day, reminds us of all the sacrifices that were made by our
freedom fighters in order to set India free from British rule. He
recalled his student life as NCC cadet in the school and advised
students to live to the moto of the school Fide Et labore. ( Faith and toil)
He was grateful to the institution he studied and recalled all the services
he contributed for the nation as scientist and chairman of K Tech CoE A
and D and as former director of ADA.
The student representative of PUC Ms Phalguni Prasad addressed the
gathering wished everyone a happy Independence day.
Fr. Rector addressed the gathering and recalled the noble sacrifice of
freedom fighters and the value freedom fighters have left behind.
The different units prize winners of various competitions were
appreciated and awarded with certificate and mementoes on the
occasion.
The programme was quite interesting as the CBSE students performed
MIME, Primary school with Tableau and college students with patriotic
song.

The staff of the SJIHS evoked the sense of patriotic spirit with their
splendid dance performance.
The program was concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the
refreshments for the students and breakfast for all the staff of SJII.
